Last Day

Today was Dave's last day at his job at Freescale. A few weeks ago he decided to accept a position with SMSC. SMSC is located at Braker and Mopac in Austin, but he has to spend at least the next two weeks in AZ for training. He is very excited about the opportunity to get some varied experience and will also hopefully pursue his Master's. Connor and I are very sad that Daddy will be gone during the week for the next two weeks, but we hope this new job will mean more regular hours and more family time. We're proud of you!

More Milestones

Today Connor learned to climb the stairs. I was on the phone and I looked down and he was up a step. He has also been leaning on his toys or the couch so that he can play with toys with both hands. He ends up on the floor sometimes. He's gotten some good bumps and is starting to turn black and blue.
This child is obviously up to something!

Grandma Betty hit a milestone today too! It's her birthday! Actually next year is the BIG milestone! We hope you enjoyed your day! I tried to get Connor to hold the sign, but he crumpled it immediately.

Connor hit another milestone tonight....he has the highest temperature he's ever had at 100.0. I'm not sure what's going on. No teeth appear to be coming in. He doesn't seem to feel bad. Just has a fever. He's been going up and down all week between 98.6 and 99.7, but tonight he seems to be getting worse. I hope it's no big deal and just teeth. Keep your fingers crossed.

Our Next President

Today Froggie had the deciding vote that elected Barack Obama our next president. Obama says he is "change" and we just hope that he is able to do what he says he can. We think that this is the first step for our nation to begin to heal itself. We thank everyone who voted and took part in this amazing process. We wish that Connor could realize what a momentous, historic day this was....but he's sleeping. We hope this day is one that changes Connor's life for the better.

BTW, Froggie's passed out from drinking...he's upset because like a true Texan, he voted for Ron Paul. We just realized that this means that Froggie voted twice. We're looking for his fake id as you read this.

Pumpkins

We went to the Pumpkin Patch to choose our pumpkins. Connor wasn't so sure about the whole thing. He was too busy playing with the hay to pose for any pictures.

Here's Connor getting ready to scoop the stuffing out of his pumpkin.

Yes, he really has goggles on and is using a power tool to carve the pumpkins. Do other men do this?

Froggie got a hold of the power tool....and if you look closely you can see what "else" Froggie got a hold of.
Waiiiitttttt, Froggie, don't light the pumpkins yet!

If you look closely, you can see that the jack'0 lantern on the right has two bottom teeth just like Connor. Thanks for the idea Kerith!

Camping

On Saturday we went camping with some friends. The weather was perfect and we had a good time.

Mommy and Connor weren't so sure about the whole thing.

We had to cage the wild animals.

More wild animals we found in the woods!

Don't ask!

Dog Attack

There was a vicious dog attack in the kitchen this afternoon. Elmo was just minding his own business when a strange Min. Schnauzer, aka Marley, came in and attacked. She grabbed him by the back of the neck and shook viciously. The mommy had to risk her own life to step in and release Elmo from the jaws of death.

The alleged attacker claimed no responsibility.

Some bystanders did nothing to help.

Others checked for signs of life (and food).

Currently it is believed that Elmo is in stable condition and will survive the attack, but he may be in the ICU for a while.

Chewbacca Cries

Yesterday our playgroup met at the Picture People in the mall to have the babies picture taken together. Chewbacca was NOT happy about it! There were only 3 group shots that they would even show us. Connor was crying through most of them and the other babies were running off (RUNNOFT). So here are the photos they sent.
