Connor Reading

Connor has turned his interest in letters into sounding out words. So last week I started introducing 3 new words a day and he loves it! He's started reading some of those beginner BOB books! He's really doing well! Now we need to work on math and writing too!

Not sure if this video has the whole thing or not, but in the middle Evan decided he wanted to try some too. If you listen closely you can hear him saying "Baby" which means Evan and that he wants to do it too! Last week he started calling Connor "Boo-Boo" which is what I call Connor. It was too cute!

Competition

We decided to go back to Kiddie Acres last week. Evan rode some rides, but not this one...right after I took the picture he wanted out. Connor rode on everything twice!

Evan being silly!

The boys have started this new "game" aka brotherly competition. They want to be the one to open the door from the garage into the house. So Connor screams to be let out of his seat first. Evan starts saying "dohr" about a block away from the house even though he's not really skilled/strong enough to open the door himself. But they fight over the door handle daily...and I'm sure this is just the first of many "games" we'll have over the years.

Fire Station Tour

Today we got to go on a tour of the local fire station. AS you can see...it was a lot of fun! Luke and Connor are trying to figure out how to use the pole that the fire man had just come down.

Luke and Connor on the back of the truck.

Connor and Claire in the fire truck.

Evan and Connor on the fire truck...Evan wasn't so sure about this idea.

But he warmed up when it was his turn to go inside...we had to drag him out!

Lately

Connor really figured out the fun of looking for eggs this year.

It took Evan a little longer to figure out that it was ok to put the eggs in the basket...he didn't like them in his Elmo basket!

Evan is obsessed with my hair dryer and brush these days. He has started to really talk a lot these days. This week he started saying "Yeah." So if you ask him a question he has a little voice that answers "Yeah." It's so cute!

I made this lego cake for a graduation party last week. It was a lot of work but turned out pretty well. Those are chocolate legos that I had to make individually!

This was my final cake for my 2nd round of cake classes. Can't wait for the 3rd and final round!
