Moved In!

We're all moved in...still have many boxes to get through though...and one of them has the camera cord in it so no pictures until that's found! Sorry!

We are really enjoying our new house and all the space that we have now. Sophie and Marley got their fence and are having fun chasing bunnies and birdies and barking at EVERYTHING! We're having a hard time finding the battery that goes into Sophie's "control" collar but we need to find it before we get kicked out of the neighborhood. We still have a bird nest in the back yard and are awaiting the arrival of 4 baby birds.

Connor is doing great. He's pretty banged up from climbing everything, but he's enjoying all the room to run. He's sleeping pretty well in his new room and starting to say more words. He says "bye-bye" but only when it means "let's go somewhere." He says wall, waffle and water...all kind of the same sound but he seems to know the difference. He still loves balls but has thrown Froggie to the side. Poor Froggie spends all his time in bed and only gets loved on once or twice a week. He now LOVES a little blue dog that he calls...Doggie (surprised?). This doggie has a nose perfect for chewing on and he carries it around in his mouth by the nose. That nose is about to fall off though and I have no idea how to fix it, but I need to figure it out FAST!

We had a house warming party yesterday. Lots of friends stopped by and even a few new neighbors. It was funny to look around and see how the parties have changed over the last few years. The adult parties are LONG gone and the margaritas have been replaced with juice boxes. There was lots of jumping, running, falling and playing and the dogs got LOTS more food than they should have. But a good time was had by all!

Move

We got moved! Monday was a really long day, but the movers were great.
We got the keys when we needed them and with no fight. Connor went
right to sleep in his new room and has had no problems sleeping at all.

Things are going slow because Dave only took one day off and I already
had a busy week planned, but it's coming along. The fridge comes today
and the fence tomorrow. The dogs are having some trouble adjusting but
hopefully once they can explore the whole yard they'll feel better.

We have lots of plans for this new house, it just may take us a while
to get them all done. Thank goodness we got a house we can grow into.

We've met a number of our neighbors already. With the fences being
open you get to meet and see everyone. I think we've already met more
people in this neighborhood than ever even waved at us in the old one.
And everyone has kids. We've even been invited to a party already.
It's just so different being out in the suburbs!

Baby #2 = Boy #2

We had our anatomy ultrasound today and found out that Baby #2 is a boy! We are very excited because it will save us lots of money in baby clothes and toys! Everything looked good and he's about 14 oz right now. He had his hands in his eyes most of the time and would try to kick back each time she pushed the wand down. This one seems pretty strong. Dave has already been able to feel kicks from the outside and I'm only 20 weeks tomorrow. Only 19 more weeks to go!

We have been suffering through some serious house drama still, but this evening we did get a written clearance to close. So tomorrow we have to talk to the title company to get a close date...we had a close date of 9:30am tomorrow originally but the mortgage company messed that up big time! So we will probably not be homeless next week, but we're still not sure if we'll be moved in by this weekend. Just keeping our fingers crossed!

Happy Mother's Day

Our motivation for packing has kind of waned this weekend. It's hard to pack when you have no idea when you're moving. We can't even say if we're moving anymore because we've sold this house so we know we're going somewhere...just don't know where or when.

Double fisting it!

Sharing snacks with Sophie! Poor Marley wasn't quick enough to get many.

We all got new phones yesterday. Dave and I got new iPhones and Connor got a speck phone that he loves. He also learned to give 5 while we were there. He's learning things very quickly now. It's pretty cool. Oh yeah...the iPhones are REALLY cool too! We will only be using cell phones for a while in the new house so the 291 # won't work after Wed. probably.

Bad News

It looks like we may have trouble getting an actual closing date for the new house. The lender took two extra days in underwriting and are four days behind in actually getting paperwork to closings. So this Wed. is out of the question. We, of course, have everything already scheduled for Wed. So we're in a bit of a pickle. The lender is even saying that they can't give us an actual close date until Tues. which may even make Fri a long shot. This is soooo not good. We have already closed on the S Austin house and even have all the money ready to go, but we have agreed to be out of here by Fri. the 15th. We feel bad for the buyers because they've been living in a hotel for the last month and that can't be fun. Right now we have all of our eggs in one basket. That basket is the hope that our seller will agree to let us lease the house until the actual closing date. That way we can keep all of our plans for Wed. and the paperwork can get done when it gets done. We have not heard back about that plan though and the waiting is tough.

We do still have our ultrasound scheduled for Tues. so that's some good news. And today we are going to get my Mother's Day present...an iphone! I'm very excited because I've wanted one since they came out.

Happy Mother's Day to all!

Good News

Poor little Connor has had a rough 24 hours, but he seems to be doing better. He came down with a pretty high fever yesterday...only his 2nd one ever. So we went to the dr. today to check in. They did both strep and flu tests and both came back negative. They also did some blood work which was all with in normal limits. So they think it's just a virus. His fever is down to 99.8 this morning from 101.9 yesterday. Let's hope he starts sleeping better. We were up from 4-6am. He was wide awake. So now of course he's down for a nap and I can't really nap during the day.

Onto Baby #2...the doctor's office called today and they have scheduled my c-section for September 24th at 7am! That's 6 days before my due date so hopefully Baby cooperates. It's sooooo nice to have a set date. It sure helps a planner personality plan!

We close on our current house next Thursday, but get to stay until the 15th. And then we close and move on the new house on the 13th. There have been a few bumps, but hopefully it all goes through. I think we've finally agreed on a company to install the back fence. Now we just need the HOA approval and they aren't really big on the whole communication thing. We're just keeping our fingers crossed for now because that's really all we can do.
