Trip to Buffalo

Cousin Danny is only 6 weeks older than Connor. They had fun getting to know each other.

Landon and Connor playing with the Fisher Price garage...Landon will be 1 this week. There will be a whole gaggle of boys growing up together...vacations should be loud in a few years!

I guess we didn't do a very good job of taking pictures while we were in Buffalo. Probably because I had no idea where the camera cord was hiding.

I had a dr appt today. Everything's fine but my belly/baby are measuring 29-30 weeks and I'll only be 28 tomorrow. That could be a problem...thank goodness for c-sections! She said it could also be because he's sitting up so high...I go back on the 23rd so we'll see what they say. The last dr thought Connor was going to be really big early on, but he slowed down in the end so maybe we're just having a growth spurt!

Travel Weary

We spent the last 5 days in Buffalo visiting the K family. We had fun
and got to see almost everyone but wow were we tired. Poor Connor got
very little sleep. Here he is curled up on the floor of the airplane
on our way home.

I have a few more photos and promise to find that darn cord this week.

Connor is learning to communicate so quickly these days. I could
probably add 5 more things to my previous list. The best one is that
we've discovered that he's been saying Froggie and we just didn't
realize it because he calls him " Zah." And like dogs, any frog is a
zah. He has also started calling out for Dave by screaming "Daa-dyyy"
whenever he wants to find him.

I have my gestational diabetes test tomorrow. This test is the best.
You can eat up to 30 min before drinking this yummy orange drink. Then
an hour later they take your blood. For someone with low blood sugar,
like me, this test is a breeze. My body processes sugar too fast so
pumping me with sugar is not a problem. I self medicate with Skittles
all day long anyway. Bring it on!

Things Connor Does

Connor decided that Big Dog needed to eat breakfast with him the other day...needless to say Big Dog needs a bath now (Sophie took care of that).

In the old house, Connor used to gather up the dog bowls and put them away when the dogs were done eating. In the new house though, the dogs get fed in the laundry room and we pretty much just leave the bowls out. So last night Connor decided to go get the bowls and bring them into the family room. He set them on the hearth, turned his water cup upside down and shook some water into one of the bowls and then proceeded to try to drink out of the bowl. I was laughing pretty hard so Dave had to get up and get him. He was very upset that the bowls were taken away. We should have gotten a picture of that, but it all happened too fast.

I've been trying to make a list of all the words/signs Connor uses right now. I like to use the blog as his baby book...eventually I will even finish making it into a book. So here's his list of expressive vocabulary...he understands MUCH more though:

My New Hobby

I started taking a watercolor class last weekend for some "mommy
time." I also bought a book that has some pictures to trace and step
by step directions for what to paint. This is my 2nd picture from the
book. The teacher of the class says that in 8 months I should be able
to do some pictures nice enough to actually hang in the house. Some of
the other people in the class have some pretty awesome stuff and it's
just your basic Hobby Lobby class. I don't have any artistic ability
so it's kind of fun to see what I can do. I'm usually just excited if
what I'm trying to paint comes out looking anywhere near what I wanted
it to be.

Doggie

Connor LOVES dogs. He found a new "doggie" at a friend's house so this
morning we went in search of one of our own. As you can see this dog
is bigger than he is, but he loves it. I'm not sure there's much room
in his crib these days between the 3 dogs, Froggie and Blankie. But
he's so cute who can resist letting him have another doggie.

Also, we had a baby cousin born last night. Walter Lee Davidson was
born in San Francisco weighing in at 8lbs and 21 1/4". We can't wait
for the next Davidson get together (baby 2 will be there too). There
will be 3 little boys and nothing and no one will be safe!

PS- All the baby birdies disappeared. We're hoping they went to the
water hole for food. But we did have a turtle in the yard this
morning. Sophie spent 30 min this morning yelling at him to get out
before Dave picked him up and put him back on the golf course...it
peed on him during that process though!

Baby Birds

After waiting more than 5 weeks for the bird eggs in our backyard to
hatch, we finally have 4 baby killdeers. We put a gate around the nest
when we moved in, hopefully the baby birds are smart enough to stay in
it.

Haircut

I finally got tired of looking like Medusa and decided to get all my
hair cut off! I think it was about 5 inches off! You can also see some
of the belly in this pic. I'm 24 weeks and feeling huge!
